Mt Hood camera questions

Is chain control on for US 26?

ODOT posts the rules on TripCheck's Minimum Chain Requirements page and the road conditions on the TripCheck map. The cameras show the road at each spot.

Where is the Government Camp camera?

On US 26: Govt Camp Lp Rd, Government Camp Maint and Government Camp.

Are these the Timberline, Meadows or Skibowl webcams?

No. These are ODOT's road cameras only. The resorts post their own webcams on their own sites; they are not listed here.

Which way does the camera look?

ODOT says: “The cameras outside the metro areas have a direction indicator located in the right hand corner above the camera image. These cameras are always looking in the same direction.”

Are these cameras used for tickets?

No. They show the road. Oregon's speed and red light cameras are on cameras in Oregon.
