US Data Center Intelligence
Mapped US data center sites, with their power, water and risk
One app per state: every county's data center sites, power price, grid and FEMA risk, with hearing alerts and an API. 1,803 buildings are mapped as data centers across the US, 17 AI campuses are being built, and businesses pay 13.37¢ per kWh on average. 36 states have their own page.
Where are the data centers, the AI build-out and the cheap power?
Virginia has the most mapped data centers (381), then Texas (221). 1,803 across the US.Texas leads the AI build: 4,142 MW planned at 5 campuses being built. New Mexico is next (1,750 MW).Business power is cheapest in North Dakota (7.36¢), Nebraska (8.50¢) and Texas (8.56¢); California pays the most (26.16¢). The stronger the green, the cheaper than the US average (13.37¢); the stronger the brown, the pricier.

Mapped data center buildings
Buildings and sites that OpenStreetMap volunteers have tagged as data centers, in every state: 1,803 across the US. It counts mapped objects, not an official register. The 36 states with their own page hold 1,776 of them.
AI campuses
A large data center campus built for AI computing, on Epoch AI's list of AI data centers. "Being built" means Epoch lists no computers running there yet.
Cents per kWh
The average price businesses paid for one kilowatt-hour of electricity in 2025: their total bills divided by the power they bought, across the US.
MW and IT power
A megawatt (MW) measures power: how much electricity a site can draw at once. For AI campuses we show IT power, the power for the computers themselves. 1,000 MW is one gigawatt.
Proposed capacity
New generators that plant owners have reported to EIA for the next five years. They are plans, not commitments: some are delayed or dropped.
